Accelerated Performance Squads

Our Accelerated performance program    Barnsley location only 

This 3 Star progression system helps develop the gymnast in stages towards our competitive levels.

This is selected class only chosen through end of term grading days or by invitation.
Bronze, Silver, Gold squads gymnasts move through the STAR system stepping into the next level when on completion of our in-house development days.
Parents are encouraged to enquire if they seek to have their child assessed for the program, we will always love to look at those willing to put in a little effort and progress through this system.

BRONZE STAR: This group work on skills developed around the Australian National Levels program and develops the gymnasts’ strengths, flexibility encouraging good discipline control and an understanding on the requirements needed to progress through the Star system.
1.1/4 hrs                                                                                        $250 per 10 week term

SILVER STAR: With a pass mark from grading days gymnasts progress to the next level and develop extra skills towards the next step in the star accredited levels. Discipline is a main strength for this group, encouraging good balanced work ethic to master addition skills. 1. ½ hrs          $275 per term

GOLD STAR: Gymnasts are required to master many attributes in the National scheme to move from this level into the National Levels Competitive system. Requirements include good work ethics, dance elements, attention to detailed choregraphed routines. Strength flexibility and dedication.  
2hour program                                                                            $340  per 10 week term 

State and National Levels

STATE and National levels : Upon completion of Advance star system 

All gymnasts have the opportunity to attend local competitions throughout the year and prime Invitationals at the discretion of the club if they chose to be available.Please see the head coach for further information. This is not a requirement for State levels, if they chose to stay within the club in house competitions and grading assessment days they can do so, or not compete at all

All classes include warm up activities -flexibility-posture-balance-ballet-strength,coordination and skills components.

We follow the current Australian National level program and develop gymnasts within the guidelines of the requirements.
  

WAG 1-10 & MASTERS

ADVANCE have a successful Women's Artistic Levels program with girls achieving some of the highest accolades in Women's Artistic gymnastics. Having also achieved 2 NSW Representatives to the Australian National Championships. 

Our WAG program commences from our foundation stages of level 1-2 and progresses into our highly developed levels 3 and above plus our Accelerated programs.

Level 1-2 Foundation gymnasts (5 to 6yrs) compete in our In house skills and testing days with the added bonus of attending some of the Hunter region events for some fun gymnastics experience. And giving the young gymnast introduction to competitions in a friendly atmosphere with surrounding clubs from the region.
Advance always lets these girls compete if they wish to and this gives them a great insight to future events as they move through the levels system.

Level 3 and 4 National Gymnasts 6+ compete at Hunter Region qualifying events and have a chance of being selected for the Prestigious NSW State Championships and represent the Hunter in teams and compete against other Regional teams in the state by entering 2 of the 3 Regional Events per calendar year. Hunter Region criteria requires those gymnasts who attend 2 of the 3 trials will be considered for selection.

Regional Level girls 7+ do not qualify due to limited hours of training but will do our In House competitions and may be selected to attend prime Invitationals like the Tamworth Country Cup and Country Championships on their scores at skills and testing days to also be able to have the opportunity of experiencing large events.

WAG levels 5-6 program caters for athletes who wish to participate at rate of their ability and commitment and have the opportunity to enter State Championships through the qualification system by attending Country Championships with added major events throughout the year.

Level 7 and above train maximum hours and have  added commitment to their gymnastics portfolio by representing Advance at major competitions and also State Trials with and a chance for selection in a number of allocated events and Invitationals .  

Teams compete at National and State events throughout the year if Selected.

RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS

NEWCASTLE RHYTHMIC:              

Advance is the Regions only professional Rhythmic club.Many Dancers and gymnasts have enjoyed this sport  designed for every girl.

Rhythmic creates expression and develops posture and confident body movement, for sport and for life it benefits and enhances coordination,agility,body awareness and balance.

Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform on a floor with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon or rope. The sport combines elements of gymnastics, dance and calisthenics; gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, dexterous and coordinated.

Our success has been enormous since how debut in 2019 and continues today.

Advance offer recreational Rhythmic ,Acro and competitive programs.Please refer to timetable for times and days.

2023 will see an Elite program for dancers and gymnasts.
