AFTERNOON PROGRAMS
Gym fun (Super Stars) 5yrs:
An introduction to the fundamentals of gymnastics through games, activities in a positive environment assisting coordination, balance, socialization, body awareness, independence, concentration, gross and fine motor development preparing gymnast to reach goals and milestones, engage socially and grow in confidence progressing from basic skills to advanced activities all in a safe and controlled and supportive environment guided by our amazing, experienced Nationally accredited instructors who follow the Australian Gymnastics federations guidelines in providing a wealth of child development knowledge and understanding.
Gymskills Junior Development squads: 6 year olds.
This class for 6 year old's helps develop physical gross motor skills, social skills, concentration, encouraging group activities development, strength building, adding flexibility to their growing bodies helping interpersonal skills healthy eating habits and knowledge of gymnastics fundamentals in cartwheels, handstands whilst working toward more intricate skills in fun physical challenging environment to develop knowledge of gymnastics and acrobatic skills
Gymskills Advanced Intermediate Squads 7 year old.
This group are now ready to extend and develop sound gymnastics skills, body awareness, coordination, challenging concepts, help build self-esteem, confidence, extended strength and flexibility, socialization skills, cultivate specific skill sets with more focused time on each apparatus encouraging growth and development in active healthy lifestyles.
Gymskills Advanced Senior Squads: 8 and above to 12 yrs
This age appropriate challenging program with a step by step skill development focus, teaches gymnastics skill handstands, cartwheels, walkovers and more intricate gymnastics and acrobatic skills when passing each progression. All whilst developing socialization skills, team building, support participation in other sports, in a supportive safe environment with our experienced and qualified coaching instructors.
At the conclusion of the term your child will be offered to attend a grading day like a mini competition to show their skills learnt within the term, all children will receive ribbons on each apparatus and overall certificate.
OUR TEEN GYMNASTICS is also a great way to keep young girls fit and healthy 12 yrs and older.
Learn Cartwheels, Handstands, Aerials also experience Bars, Beams and Trampolines
FUN is just the word for this relaxed atmosphere with likeminded girls doing all girly fun things gymnastics
WEDNESDAY 4PM TO 5PM and 5pm to 6pm pending availability
ACCELERATED DEVELOPMENT SQUADS
This 3 Star progression system helps develop the gymnast in stages towards our competitive levels.
Please ask if you feel your daughter has potential into our competitive stream for an assessment
Bronze, Silver, Gold squads gymnasts move through the STAR system stepping into the next level when on completion of our in-house development days.
Parents are encouraged to enquire if they seek to have their child assessed for the program, we will always love to look at those willing to put in a little effort and progress through this system.
BRONZE STAR: This group work on skills developed around the Australian National Levels program and develops the gymnasts’ strengths, flexibility encouraging good discipline control and an understanding on the requirements needed to progress through the Star system.
1.1/4 hours 10 week term Monday and Wednesday 5.30 to 6.45pm
SILVER STAR: With a pass mark from grading days gymnasts progress to the next level and develop extra skills towards the next step in the star accredited levels. Discipline is a main strength for this group, encouraging good balanced work ethic to master addition skills.
1 ½ hrs 10 week per term Wednesday 5.30 to 7pm
GOLD STAR: Gymnasts are required to master many attributes in the National scheme to move from this level into the National Levels Competitive system. Requirements include good work ethics, dance elements, attention to detailed choregraphed routines. Strength flexibility and dedication.
2hour per 10 week term Wednesday 5.00pm to 7pm
